The range of goods, services, materials and information available for anyone considering a renovation or conversion project in France can be daunting. The following pages provide links to some of the shops, agencies and artisans you may find useful. These pages are divided into categories to make finding the resource required easier.

The UK suppliers page lists retail outlets from B&Q to Marks & Spencer. Useful if you want to order on-line from France for delivery in UK. Although M&S will deliver certain goods to France

The French pages consist of companies that offer a choice of tools, equipment and materials that should cater for all DIY needs such as Castorama.

Travel to and from France has been made easier by the range of options. Ferry crossings, Eurotunnel and even Lo-cost airline tickets (Wegolo, great name, offer a search facility for routes, airline companies for travel to French regional airports), can all be reserved on-line.

Still in France there are a range of national information providers; French Government, Estate agents regulatory body, FNAIM, who are well worth checking out for a whole host of reasons.

Local resources to me in Deux Sevres, Poitou Charentes (and slightly further a field) give us links to artisans, such as builders and tree surgeons. There is also a link to a property search company (LTPS). That can help in the search for your property.
