Cabin Plans
OK So it is with a certain amount of relief we can say that the Log Cabin plans for the Boisme project have been passed.
I say with some relief as at the meeting we had with the officials at the DDEA (Department de Direction, Equipment & Agriculture, the people who deal with the paperwork) the discussion revolved around the fact that in the intervening weeks between original submission and approval no less than three amendments had been introduced into the rules of urbanism that affected the proposal!
These amendments are detailed on the acceptance letter and we know how we are to accommodate them in the construction and positioning of the cabin.
So this is going to be a project that we will now follow from beginning to end to give a realistic account of what we did, when, and how we did it, and what we would have done differently as a result. In real time so that the mistakes we make provide lessons for others considering this route for new build in France.
First stage. Quotes for ground works and foundations based on plan de masse and existing terrain.
