French Suppliers
These companies have supplied us with materials, tools and equipment. Their websites are a useful resource of specialist vocabulary, materials availability, up to date prices and on-line guidance.
Brico Depot. Agencies all over France. Comprehensive range of all building requisites. Tools materials. Produces an annual catalogue. Good for pricing and technical vocabulary. Catalogue also on line along with store locator by town /region.
Mr Bricolage. Chain of stores all over France offering tools materials. Normally found in commercial zones alongside main stream supermarkets like l’Eclerc.
Can order special fittings e.g. double glazed windows cut to size.
Bricoman. Similar to Brico Depot less regional coverage.
Brico Pro. Smaller enterprise that does the same as the above on a more local level.
Castorama. Suppliers of a comprehensive range of building materials, products and tools available on-line. Kitchens, Bathrooms as well as other products such as sinks,taps and white goods. Garden fixtures and fittings also available.
Conforama. Suppliers of furniture, white goods TVs sound systems.
Europe Outillage. Mail order suppliers of well known brands of tools and equipment. Bosch, DeWalt and Makita to name three.
Lapeyre . Suppliers of kitchens, doors and other requisites. Also have on-line planning software for kitchens and advice sheets.
Point P. One of the biggest French companies in the building field. More specifically aimed at companies and artisans. Will open account facilities for individuals. Well worth cultivating as local contact for advice and guidance. Also can direct you to appropriate local trades people, and specialists.
Outiror. Are a supplier of all sorts of tools, equipment and materials. Available on-line they also send out catalogues for their “visites de camion”. Their lorry turns up with a selection of products and can be seen at major markets all over the country.
